Preparations for Lughnasadh
There is an immense gratitude that echoes through time when you choose to follow the Wheel of the Year. For me, these eight points on the wheel hold deep significance. Having celebrated them in both conscious and subconscious ways since I was eleven years old, aligning with the natural flow and the passing of the seasons feels like breathing. We have passed the longest day of the year, and the wheel is steadily turning toward Lughnasadh—the feast of the first harvest. With the food garden expanded this year, spring and summer have already been a time of gentle reaping. But this is the first year I’ve truly paused to witness the tiny helpers—from the insects to the balancing plants—going about their vital work. Getting my hands dirty and letting parts of the garden grow wild has been a profound reminder: we cannot change the macro-chaos of the entire world, but we have absolute agency to transform our immediate surroundings. When the world feels too loud, I return to the earth, to the s

July: Weddings, thunder and general introspection
It IS Summer and this usually means wedding season! I played this year's first wedding yesterday in Moss at beautiful Røed Gård. I think it is so special to be part of something so intimate, yet not entirely part of it. I got to witness speeches, congratulate the beautiful wedding couple (I knew the bride from the Medieval Festival in Oslo and am beyond honoured that she asked me to play at her wedding. Takk Mari!), but I was also partly responsible for the soft-music aspect. What a joy to see so many happy faces! As I still had over a 150km to drive back home I didn't stay until the end, to make sure I wouldn't be too tired to drive. My energy is quite fritzed during summer and I spent all my energy playing songs and singing, so I easily get past-tired and then I do not want to drive. Going back home to air got more pressured, more charged and there was quite a feisty thundershow up in the skies all through the night. I've been reflecting these last two weeks as the Summer Solstice tr

Summer Solstice and Reflections on June
We've passed the longest day of the year and we will slowly head towards the dark half of the year again, even though we still have a way to go. The sun is shining and heat rules over the European continent these days, with warnings alike. June can be experienced as the time where things are a bit much and that counts for my own experience as well. I've just returned from my travels; Sojourn of Sirens in the UK with two fantastic souls willing to embark on this journey. As you can read in the blog I wrote before this one, the connections made are something that will last in one way or another. The progress as well as the processes working in their own ways and time. I've felt like I was floating on clouds the whole time. What a beautiful time we've had. Having one day to rest yet also prepair for the Summer Solstice wasn't an easy feat I can tell you. My energy always feels a bit scattered during the summer, 2026 being no exception, but I was very much looking forward to this year's ce

Reflections on the Sojourn of Sirens 2026
I came home last night from a week I can barely put into words. A gratefulness that has been warming my chest from start and it hasn't ended. The very first Sojourn and it couldn't have been a more memorable one. Thank you Jessica and Shina, for embarking on this journey together, this will forever be the standard and blueprint for all Sojourns to come. Picture by Shina. Boscastle June 2026. Where to begin, when the processes are still processing, the layers slowly falling away like a good proper peeling. I haven't even entirely landed fully and yet, the words just come. Leaving on the 12th, the earliest morning, clouds falling down the mountains like the waves of the ocean we'd see only a couple of days later. Breezes of salt, cool air, flowy dresses, comfy sweaters, tall gnarly rainforest trees. There aren't enough words to express or pictures to describe what this journey has meant to me. To be able to hold space for other women, beautiful human beings, golden glowy skin in candleli

Reflections of May
I think that May has been such a profound month, pivotal with the structures and pillars of my working life as well as my visions. It's been a month of drawing boundaries, tending to new growth and aligning my physical space with my goals. The transformation both Siren Enchantments as well as I have been going through, took center stage this month. What is my brand? And how do I execute it in a non-traditional way? What does the eco-system that I want to work in look like? Siren Enchantments isn't just a salon. When I got this epiphany of "this is what I want to do!" in September 2024, it wasn't about a salon, it was about creating a space to showcase craftmanship, build within the beauty industry as an uplifting actor, it was about art, passion, nature, music! It still is today and our garden acts as the twin pillar of what I now lovingly call the Sanctuary. Because that's what I wanted to create in the first place and with the place now in full bloom, an ocean of green, filled with c

February Reflections
I can look back on a really calm start of the year, where winter has ever so been a strong presence here in the North. I've also felt the recurring themes of integrity, counting my own blessings and staying present being very actively engaged with this month. I live in the countryside, it tends to be more quiet here. Working mostly in big cities, most of my life - I got accustomed to the rushing and pushing of places filled to the brim with people. I've been in leading positions, I've been assisting, I've fallen and hit my face, I made differences. But the quiet of the countryside is nothing I experienced before. Even moving here, in the beginning, I would travel to Hamar and work at a shopping centre. And albeit so much more quiet than Oslo or Amsterdam, it was still not enough to cause real change in the way I wish to work my own business. I needed quiet, I needed to steer by myself, I needed to be able to hear my own thoughts, breathe in and out instead of holding it in with tighten
